Let’s Make Music Together®! 

Masks remain optional for all adults and children in indoor classes. Please stay home if you or your child are sick. If you are still coughing or sneezing, please wear a mask. As usual, everything will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. 

Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and older Rhythm Kids® all love Music Together®! Our playful music classes for kids support every child, no matter their learning style or stage of development. Each weekly class includes lots of music activities especially created for young children, led by a trained teacher who inspires everyone to join in the fun. You can enjoy these classes at whatever is the most convenient for you. If you're trying to be in the same class with a friend, please drop me a note. I sometimes have to move people around to even out the classes.

 

Mixed-age classes are for ages birth through four.

Rhythm Kids® is for ages four through eight.

Guitar classes are for adults only.

Class Descriptions
Rhythm Kids®

Rhythm Kids® is the next musical step for your preschool child (ages 4 through 8) with a parent or caregiver. Each week we drum, sing, moe creatively, play rhythm instruments and music-based games. Rhythm Kids® guides children toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative, as they:

        • create movement ideas for songs

        • take a drum solo

        • invent new ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, sticks, etc.)

        • make up their own drumming patterns      

Rhythm Kids® follows through on the Music Together® vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth through age eight.
Your tuition includes:

        • 10 weekly, 45-minute classes
        • Animal Collection Songbook with a download code for the music
        • Access to online drum-play videos and other material

Your child will:

        • Explore the world of rhythm through movement, instrument play, and song
        • Develop basic rhythm skills, like keeping beat, improvising, ensemble play, and soloing
        • Learn to create, cooperate, and express themselves musically

Drums may be purchased at your local music store or online. We can help you find one.

 Mixed-age

This is the main Music Together class where a child can attend from birth through age four through all nine song collections.

This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers - grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level. Any caregivers - parents, grandparents, nanny, aunts or uncles - can bring the children. It is fun for the whole family.

 Guitar Class for Grownups Imagine the joy of playing music for your child while they dance, sing, and laugh. Our Guitar Class for Grownups was designed for parents and caregivers of children currently enrolled in Music Together. In this 60-minute class, you'll learn to play selected songs from the current song collection so you can make even MORE beautiful music at home. This class accommodates both beginners who have never held a guitar and those who already have some skill. You'll be playing Music Together songs in no time!

 

Can't get to your child's music class? Then this class is perfect for you!  This class provides a good way for you to do music at home with your child.  Learn to play guitar in a fun and relaxed environment while enjoying a night out with other parents of young children.  Participants receive a workbook and bring their own guitar, capo, and tuner. If you want to learn to play the Music Together songs your child loves, this is the class for you.
